Hey everyone !

Alpha 1.10.0 is now available with some really exiting new stuff !

This update is mostly focused on the game map with a large expansion and some small reworks of certain areas. Take a look at this trailer if you missed it ! But in this update there is also a lot of reworks, changes and fixes. Reworked inventory, rework of the option menu, changes to crafting, saving, weapons, shop, and more !

I hope you will enjoy this new update and if want to know more about what’s in this new release, let’s dive in directly in all of this with the complete patch notes right below !

Content:

  • As said juste before, the main focus of this update has been the map and his expansion, let’s talk about it.

With this map update I wanted to feature more diverse combat opportunity than before, long range engagements, close quarter combats, there is a more diverse set of environments to try and play different weapons.

Let’s take a look at the new map layout and how sectors are now in place.

With this update the map is now split in 4 sectors with one more sector coming in the next update, the first 2 sectors are the newly added parts of the map. So, in addition of the new control points from these 2 newly added sectors, there are been several changes to existing control points: On sector 3, there is a new control point “B” located around the church. The Control Points D and E are now also larger. Sector 4 is the merge of the Sectors 1 and 2 and so it has 6 Control Points. The Control Points A, E, D and F are now a bit larger. The beach area for Control Point C has also received a rework. The area is now less cluttered with objects on the ground which should ease the navigation inside it. There is now a small bridge of containers on the side of the beach giving a path for escape and not being blocked on the main beach.

With this update I also made some global changes to the night time lighting to enhance the atmosphere and overall look of the game during night.

The last change with this update is regarding the bunker. It now only require 2 valves instead of 3 to be oppened and these 2 valves are now also closer to the bunker. For a quick reminder, the bunker is located at the very end of sector 3, near CP C and contain a very interesting weapon !

  • The next change for this update is the reworked inventory.

The new inventory offer a refreshed design which gives a lot more informations and a lot more detailed about what the player has and has not.

  • With this update there is also a complete rework of the option menu.

The option menu received a complete refresh to its look and now features a small description for each setting, this allow to have more details about what each setting is supposed to do.

The Controls section received some additional updates as well, there is now inputs groups to have a more logical input presentation. 4 inputs also received an updated name:

    • “Equip Pistol” → “Equip Sidearm”
    • “Flashlight On/Off” → “Toggle Flashlight”
    • “Open Projectiles Selection Wheel” → Open Projectiles Selection”
    • “Open Heal Selection Wheel” → “Open Heal Selection”

If you had previously changed these keybinds, they will be reset with this change, be sure to rebind them !

  • This update also include some changes to the saving system. There is now a small confirmation popup when trying to delete or overwrite an existing save file, this should avoid some infortunate miss clicks !

There is now also a versioning system, the save files will now be linked to their version of the game, trying to load a save file with a different version than the current build will show a warning message as they might not be compatible (save files from fully compatible versions will not show this warning).

Note that saves from the Alpha 1.0.0 wont work properly, if not at all, in Alpha 1.10.0 due to the large update of the map.

  • Finally, there is some small changes to the crafting system

    • There is now the ability to bulk craft items

    • Most of the item descriptions have also been updated.

In this update there are also been a lot of changes, mostly QoL or to fit better with the game.

Changes:

  • Firstly, there are been some rebalancing and changes to weapons and ammunitions.

    • Thanks to @Bastoon, most weapons now have a proper naming !
    • One new weapon has been added to the game
    • The “Pistol” class of weapons is now called “Sidearm”
    • 2 Sidearms have received a slight buff to their base stats
    • Reduced the base reload time of 2 shotguns
    • Made some changes to the ammunition capacity, the player will now start with a lot less ammos:
      • (New Default Capacity | Max Capacity Change)
      • Assault Rifles: 240 | 900 → 960
      • Rifles: 160 | 750 → 720

      • Epic Upgrades: 800 GP → 1000 GP
      • Rare Upgrades: 650 GP → 700 GP

    • Slight increase of the damages from the fire: 5/s, 7/s, 9/s, → 6/s, 8/s, 10/s

(All these stats are based on the different types of barrels, going from the smallest to the largest barrels available in the game)

  • Stamina received some adjustments.

    • Jumping will now reduce stamina by 6 points instead of 8
    • Sprinting will now reduce stamina at a rate of 1.5 points/second instead of 2/s
    • Stamina restoration rate is now a bit slower at 15/s instead of 20/s
  • In this update, there are also multiple quality of life changes to the Control Points System. The duration before being killed for being outside of the Control Point area is now dependent on the distance of the player from the area (when afar, the player will have more time to get back into the area). In addition, the delay between each wave is now a lot longer for each sector in order to give the player more freedom of exploration. There is now also a small icon on the compass appearing when outside the zone.

  • And finally, some smaller changes and tweaks:
