Dead Alone is an intense first-person survival shooter set in a dangerous apocalyptic cityscape. In this desolate landscape, your precision in shooting and meticulous resource management will be the key to survival.

In Dead Alone, players can choose between two gripping game modes: Survival and Horde. In the Survival mode, they navigate a fully open world, making crucial decisions on where to go, which enemies to confront, and how to manage gear and fatigue while scavenging for valuable loot. Alternatively, the Horde mode offers a more linear progression through sectors, challenging players to face waves of enemies and strategically upgrade their gear through a shop.

In each mode, players must wield their gathered resources and equipment to battle an endless onslaught of increasingly relentless foes. Prepare for an experience where precision, resourcefulness, and survival instincts will be put to the ultimate test in this unforgiving post-apocalyptic city.

EXPLORATION

In Dead Alone, embark on the exploration of a small open world with vibrant and stylized urban environments.

The landscape offers a mix of dilapidated buildings, ruined streets, and crumbling infrastructure, all of which have succumbed to the ravages of time and disaster. Nature has started to reclaim its territory, with overgrown vegetation breaking through the concrete, adding an eerie and haunting charm to the surroundings.

On the other hand, there are pockets of the city where remnants of human settlements still exist. You may stumble upon abandoned shelters, once inhabited by survivors like yourself. Exploring these areas may reward you with valuable resources, ammunition, or even new powerful weapons to bolster your chances of survival.

COMBAT

In Dead Alone, combat is a constant battle against hordes of zombies with diverse classes.

As you advance through the game, the intensity of combat escalates, with increasingly powerful and specialized zombies appearing. Surviving these encounters demands smart utilization of your gear, projectiles, and resources. Your weapons choices will be critical in taking down the undead menace effectively.

To prevail against your ennemies you’ll also need to adapt and develop your combat skills, employing precise aim, resourceful tactics, and efficient use of your surroundings.

GEAR

In Dead Alone, the gear plays a vital role in your survival journey. Explore the open world and discover an array of weapons with varying rarities, each impacting their effectiveness. Special weapons are also hidden throughout the game, waiting to be discovered as you progress. These rare finds can be true game-changers, granting you a significant advantage.

Managing your health and ammunition is crucial, as you can quickly find yourself overwhelmed if you run out of supplies during intense battles. Strategic use of healing items, upgrades and crafting resources can be the difference between life and death.

The diverse range of gear options in Dead Alone ensures that your choices matter. You must decide which weapons to wield, how to upgrade them, which items to craft, and how to use healing resources effectively.

Can you add alarm lock? When I'm using workbench i can't see time to next wave. How about adding alarm sound 5 seconds before wave starts?

Hey thanks for your feedback. I hadn’t thought about it and it’s a very good idea !

I like the game. There's intensity to it. There were some bugs where the zombie count somehow changes with some interactions. If the way the reloading system is intentional it's okay, but I suggest that when you ran out of ammo you have the option to switch guns or commit with the reloading.  Keep up the good work. Hoping to see what this leads to in the future.

I have my gameplay of this.

Hey ! Thanks for playing and thanks for you video ! In your video I see that you played in the first version of the game, I recently updated it with the Pre-Alpha 1.1.0 and 1.11.0. In these version I already fixed the different bugs and problems you said in your message ! :)

(+1)

Oh. I would very much like to try that.

Only one thing that i think can be improved: I think the zombies should have some sort of reaction to getting shot, so that its more satisfying to shoot them. Other than that it's pretty good :D

Hey, thanks for your feedback, I will see to add this in the next update !

I really like this game. It is awesome! Really!

Thanks !

Hello! I recently completed a review of your game for my Youtube series “The First 15”! I’ve placed a link to the video down below, please check it out and keep up the great work!

Hey ! First of all, thanks for your video, it’s really helpful and your video is very constructive so thanks for that !

I noted down some things you said in the video in order to answer to them:

  • First, when you said “it’s not an open world thing, this is like a wave fighter” this is partially true, for now the game include only a Horde mode but in a few updates I will start to implement the other game mode planned, a fully Survival mode with exploration and all this kind of stuff.
  • Then, I noticed in your video that AI have some problems and you used some exploits making obviously the game easier like climbing on the rooftops or on vans, this will be nerfed a bit when the zombies will get the ability of jumping (this will come in a few udpates too)
  • You also said “i don’t like that you can’t switch weapon while your reloading”, this is a change a brought with the last update (Pre-Alpha 1.11.0) so this is now possible :)
  • I’m aware of the aiming being a bit useless. The aiming system will receive a complete rework in future when I will implement the character animations.
  • The time between each wave will be increased when I will implement the crafting and these more complex features, for now I put 30s just to put a bit of delay :p
  • Also, the buildings will stay the same but will have a lot of props etc to differentiate them and make each one interesting (They will have multiple different floors too)
  • Then, the Multiplayer. Multiplayer is a feature which I see a lot in the feedbacks I get, but for now I don’t plan to add it anytime soon because, I don’t have the skills to do so and I don’t neither want to mess with this for now, but maybe later, in a Post-Launch update I will add multiplayer ;)
  • Finally, for the look of the game, the stylised is what I wanted for the game and I don’t plan to make it more realistic, i’m pretty happy with the actual look of the game ! But a lot of thing will get a rework, especially in sounds as you said

Thanks again for you video and I hope I answered to all you concerns !

Sounds great! As I said before, I think you have a great starting point here, and I am sure the game will just keep getting better with time!

I hope so ! :)

The slow get by being hited by a zombie is quiet big, I think, awesome project btw

Yeah this is part of my planned balancing, I need to test different configurations, and thanks you ! :)

i can't equip the weapons

Hey, do you selected them in the workbench right after collecting them ?

(+1)
I tried, but when I try to interact with the workbench the window opens and closes immediately. I tried to open the inventory or simply select the weapon but it didn't work. And through the workbech the interaction window opens but then closes.

Ok thanks for your feedback, I will try to see what’s causing this issue, a new patch should come tomorrow anyway :)

thanks for your attention, and your game is promissing, congratulations!

Thanks !
